In a statement sent to the Hinckley AFC board on Friday 30th November James Jepson announced
his resignation from the management of the football club.
Jepson's assistant John Ramshaw also resigns with him, as Jepson released a statement:
"After an irretrievable breakdown in trust with certain Board members, who have been working
surreptitiously towards bringing a former manager back to the club, I have today resigned
as Manager of Hinckley AFC. Whilst I accept that the timing prior to a big FA Vase game is
far from perfect – and for this I apologise whole heartedly to our brilliant fans – I feel
my position has been made untenable by the actions of the said Board members. I would like
to thank Hinckley for affording me the opportunity to manage the club and wish them every
success for the future."
The Football club replied "While we very much regret James and John’s decision, we would like
to place on record our gratitude for their hard work. We know that it has not been easy. The
search for a new management team starts immediately and we will make a further announcement
in due course." |
