An hatrick each for Paul Sullivan and Ryan Seal, sandwiched by a superb solo goal from
defender Jamal Clarke, saw Hinckley go goal crazy at Bolehall, and have a 100% win record
for November.
With only one change to the starting line up from the previous weeks excellent away win at
Lichfield, it was clear from the start that Swifts keeper Matt Hill would be the busier of
the two keepers. Having already let in 6 goals against AFC when playing for Pelsall earlier
in the season Hill knew exactly what faced him. Jamal Clarke headed over from a corner and Paul
Sullivan forced Hill into a save to his right, whilst for Bolehall Ryan Ball wasted a good
opportunity when well placed. AFC took the lead on 20 minutes when Lee Bluter played the ball
into the box, Javia Roberts controlled and passed to Sullivan who guided the ball around Hill
from 15 yards. Sullivan then did well to get to the line and crossed low and hard where Pete
Williams slid in but couldn't control the ball as it bounced up and off the crossbar. Hill got
down to smother at the feet of Ryan Seal, then Hill made an excellent reaction save from a Sullivan
volley. Clarke headed straight at Hill from another corner, before Roberts guided a header over the
bar from a Lee Thomas cross. AFC eventually got their second after a perfectly timed through ball
from Sullivan found Seal one on one with Hill, and Seal gave Hill no chance this time, firing into
the net for a two goal half time lead.
Bolehall made two substitutions at the start of the second half with attacking intent, determined
to get back into the game, and it nearly paid dividends early on, however Haydn Whitcombe made a
stunning save to deny John Obi at point blank. The goal of the game, and contender for one of the
season, came from defender Clarke just before the hour, when he chested the ball down inside the
Hinckley half then ran through the middle of the Bolehall defence, evading three challenges before
placing the ball wide of Hill 15 yards out, scoring his first ever goal for Hinckley AFC. Swifts got
a goal back just after the hour, as Whitcombe again saved from Obi, but as Williams went to clear
the ball from danger Liam Rowley stole it off his foot and bundled it into goal. Hinckley restored
their advantage minutes later as Sullivan held the ball well with his back to goal, then turned
and fired past Hill, before Seal added a fifth goal as Butler set him up with a low cross to tap into
goal. Sean Williams forced Hill to tip over his 25 yard effort, and then Sullivan went dancing around
the penalty area, taking out a couple of Swifts defenders and laying the ball on a plate for Seal to
score his hatrick goal with another tap in. With the game well won, Hinckley made all of their substitutes
breaking up the flow somewhat and Swifts took advantage hitting AFC with two quick goals. An excellent
strike from Perry Cotton wide on the right of the area across Whitcombe went into the far corner of the
net, then with the AFC defence still looking a little shell shocked, Swifts pumped the ball into the box
from the left wing, Lee Thomas heads off the line, but Cotton was on hand to follow up blasting in from
close range. With the game into injury time, debut substitute defender Jacob Sturgess found himself in
the area and squared to Roberts who couldn't get his shot on target, and then with virtually the last
kick of the game, Butler was brought down in the area and Seal allowed Sullivan to take the penalty
for his hatrick, Hill diving the wrongway and Sullivan scoring his third and Hinckley's seventh from
the spot.
