Hinckley AFC 1 - 2 Lutterworth Town
Only days after the Vase win Atletico were dragged back down to earth after crashing out of the Leicestershire Senior Cup in only the second round, losing to Lutterworth Town.

With Ryan Paddock re-stationed to Bath, and Michael Harvey off to Australia, the AFC back line had a somewhat strange line up with Lee Thomas finding himself at centre back and Kirtis Monson making his debut at left back, whilst Isaac Cooper would be on the right. No one was worried about the defence though as AFC took the lead on 10 minutes, after a Sean Williams effort had been tipped over the corner was played to the near post and Cooper guided the ball into goal. Whether it was complacency on Hinckley's part or determination on Lutterworth's but the Senior League side began to press on Hinckley as AFC dropped deeper. It wasn't a surprise on the half hour when the Swifts equalised after a corner was played central and neither centre back pick up Kade Lewis who headed unchallenged into goal. Only minutes later and Lutterworth were ahead, as a free kick on the edge of the area was curled around the wall by MArk Warren and into goal off the inside of the post. Then with the lead in hand Lutterworth defended deep for the majority of the second half, and more than held their own. AFC couldn't create anything special enough to break down the six man back line despite plenty of second half possession and the only two real goal attempts were set piece headers from Jamal Clarke and Cooper which didn't trouble the goalkeeper. Meaning Atletico fail to defend their Senior Cup title at the first hurdle.
