Another Sam Agar hatrick and a brace for Ryan Seal making his 50th appearance for the club,
helped Atletico to a comfortable win over Pelsall Villa.
A result that looked a long way off at half time with Villa playing well, in an open end
to end game, and having three good chances and they would feel aggrieved not to have scored
one of them. Hadyn Whitcombe had made two good saves to keep Hinckley in the game, and then
when he was beaten, the ball rebounded off the inside of the post and cleared to safety. AFC
would take a slender lead into half time as on the half hour as Paul Sullivan was running
towards goal he was bundled over on the edge of the area and Agar took the free kick getting
a massive deflection off the wall wrong footing the keeper and rolled into the net.
The second half was a very different affair with AFC stepping up a gear and putting Villa
to the sword. The lead was doubled in the first minute with James Williams making a run down
the right and crossing to Paul Sullivan at the near post who flicked the ball past Matt Hill
in the Pelsall goal. Seal added to his goal tally with two quick goals just after the hour,
first running onto Sean Williams through ball and blasting past Hill, and then guiding Paul
Sullivan's low cross into goal past the reach of Hill and in off the post. With the points
virtually sealed Agar added the gloss to the performance completing his hatrick in the final
10 minutes. Both setup by James Williams from right wing crosses first volleying home from
10 yards and then finishing with an acrobatic scissors kick giving Hill no chance, scoring
Hinckley's sixth.
