After a promising performance at Quorn, Andy Morrell brought his Conference North
Tamworth side to Stade de Saint John. Even though another promising performance was
shown by Atletico, Tamworth were always going to be too strong for Hinckley and the
Staffordshire club won 0-3, with former Hinckley United player Dan Newton getting
on the score sheet for Tamworth. That was followed up by a trip to Royal Sutton Coldfield and a game on the 3G pitch against Romulus of the Northern Premier division 1 South. Atletico were caught out by a goal in the first and last minute of the match, losing 2-1, but again another very good performance against opposition playing higher in the pyramid. Marco Adaggio was on target for Hinckley in the second half, but Jacob Snape was the AFC stand out player of the match. |
