Saturday 13th

Hinckley AFC 5 - 1 Atherstone Town
Atletico go 'nap' completing the double over A5 neighbours Atherstone Town, goals coming from Marco Adaggio, Matt Gardner and Rob Millington.

No in depth report as I wasn't there, but in summary:
Atherstone took the lead in the 16th minute when Mark Latham headed in a corner from Cameron Stuart. Hinckley replied almost immediately through Marco Adaggio when he forced home an Alex Morris knock down from a corner. Hinckley took a lead into half time as on the half hour Adaggio had his header saved, but Matt Gardner was on hand to score from the rebound.

The balance of the game was changed just before the hour after Kurtis Mewies received his second yellow card and was sent off for Atherstone. Then shortly after that Hinckley extended their lead after Latham slipped whilst in possession and Gardner took advantage, taking the ball around Phil Smith and scoring Atletico's third. Smith was then caught out trying to dribble the ball and Rob Millington dis-possessed him and slotted into the empty nest scoring his first goal for the club and Hinckley's fourth of the game. The scoring was wrapped up in the final minute after Michael Healy's cross was diverted into his own goal by Darren Eggleton.

Hinckley's unbeaten run now extends to ten matches in all competitions and the team has lifted to sixth place in the Midland League One table.
