At last, with just a couple of weeks to go before the start of the season the first
month's fixtures have been released by the Midland Football League. The season kicks off on Saturday 2nd August and Hinckley will be on their travels to play Southam United. Soon followed on the Tuesday night 5th August, with the first ever Home league fixture as the newly promoted Uttoxeter Town visit the Maracana St John. Sat 9th is another home game against Pelsall Villa, before Sat 16th sees AFC on the road again, away to Cadbury Athletic (who play at Alvechurch). A big game on Sat 23rd August has pre season favourites Bromsgrove Sporting travelling to Maracana St John for an AFC home game, and then the 'big one' on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon when hosts play tenants as Hinckley make the long journey to St John's Park for the A447 derby, playing away to Heather St John's. The month ends on Saturday 30th August with the short journey through the Avonshire country side to play Littleton. |
